“Avg margin” is the average amount by which the 1X2 implied probabilities exceed 100% (lower is better for the punter). “Payout” is the theoretical percentage returned to players. “Best price” is the share of all market selections where that bookmaker holds the highest odds (ties count for each).

What is a bookmaker margin?

If you add up the implied probabilities (100 ÷ odds) of the three 1X2 outcomes at one bookmaker, the total always exceeds 100%. That excess is the margin - the bookmaker’s built-in edge. At a 5% margin the theoretical payout to players is about 95.2%. This is why two identical predictions can be worth different amounts at different bookmakers, and why every match page shows the best available price, not just the average.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which bookmaker offers the highest odds?

On our data the lowest average margin on the 1X2 market right now belongs to Dafabet (5.32%), but the leader changes - the ranking is recalculated automatically from real odds across the matches we track.

What does margin (overround) mean?

The sum of the implied probabilities of all outcomes minus 100%. It is the bookmaker's built-in edge: the lower the margin, the higher the odds and the greater the theoretical payout to players.

Where does the data come from?

From bookmakers' public pre-match odds for matches in the leagues LigaToday tracks – 680+ competitions across 76 countries. The ranking is recalculated every time the odds refresh (every 6 hours).

Does LigaToday have partnerships with bookmakers?

No. We have no commercial partnerships, publish no affiliate links and earn nothing from betting. The comparison is editorial statistics for the reader's benefit.

Do you show live odds?

No - we show pre-match (and closing) odds. The aim is a transparent comparison of prices against our AI model probabilities, not to encourage in-play betting.
