Privacy Policy

LigaToday (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a football data and predictions platform operated by Simeon Kirilov. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit ligatoday.com or if you use our subscription services, why we collect this data, how we store it and what rights you have in relation to it.

1. Who is the data controller?

The data controller is Simeon Kirilov, founder of LigaToday. You can contact him at any time via the page Contact details or a message in Telegram @iGamingKirilov.

2. What information do we collect and why?

2.1 Information you provide to us

  • Profile details - email address, username, display name (optional) and favourite teams/competitions.
  • Payment details - Payments are processed by our provider (Stripe / WooCommerce Payments). LigaToday only stores the order metadata (invoice ID, amount, plan, status). We do not see or store full card numbers.
  • Communication - messages sent via the contact form or by email that you have sent to us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Country (ISO-2) - geolocation determined by CDN/IP to identify the start times.
  • Device class - mobile/tablet/desktop for layout optimisation.
  • Browser time zone - This is set locally via JavaScript to display times in your time zone.
  • Technical logos - IP address, user agent, page, time; these are retained for up to 30 days to prevent misuse.

3. Cookies

We use a minimum number of cookies: to log in to your account, to select a theme (light/dark), to save your favourite leagues, and to protect against spam. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies without your explicit consent.

4. Who we share data with

  • Web hosting - Cloudways (DigitalOcean), for hosting and serving the website.
  • Payment processor - Stripe / WooCommerce Payments, for processing transactions.
  • Third-party data providers - for our football data (results, statistics, line-ups).

We never sell personal data to third parties.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Profile entries: whilst the account is active and for a further 12 months after it has been closed (so that you can reactivate it).
  • Archives: A 30-day period, after which they are completely overwritten.
  • Payment details: 10 years (as required by EU accounting legislation).

6. Your rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)

  • Access to a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correcting any inaccuracies
  • Deletion of the account and all associated personal data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Objection to or restriction of processing
  • Data portability (export to a machine-readable format)

7. Security

HTTPS everywhere, passwords hashed using bcrypt, payment details never pass through our server, and access keys are rotated every three months.

8. Children

LigaToday is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not designed for children under 16.

9. Changes to this policy

We will update this page in the event of significant changes; we will send you an email if the change affects rights that you are already exercising.
